Mr. Williams is the Founder and Principal shareholder of Old Port Advisors, which he originally established as Investment Management Consulting Group (IMCG) in 1994. He has actively served in the financial services industry in the northeast for more than 40 years, filling a multitude of roles from management to analytical research and client consulting.

Chairing the Old Port Advisors Investment Policy Committee, Mr. Williams oversees the firm’s integrated portfolio management services, as well as the committee’s economic and equity sector analysis. Within the professional community, he is a member of the Maine CFA Society, Maine Estate Planning Council, Maine Employee Benefit Council, and the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to providing pro bono work for organizations like the Children’s Dream Factory and the Live Poets’ Society, Mr. Williams has served on a variety of cultural and community boards, including the Portland String Quartet, the Portland Symphony’s Ovation, Seventy Five State Street, the Community Television Network, Opportunity Farm For Boys & Girls, Wayfinder Schools, and most recently as the Treasurer of Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School. He continues his 25 years of volunteering with The Dream Factory’s local chapter, having served on its National Board of Directors and Finance Committee based out of Louisville.

Mr. Williams was born in New York, the only member of his family not to hail from Maine, graduated from Vassar College in 1978 prior to coming to Portland for graduate work, has two grown sons, as well as three grandchildren and lives on Munjoy Hill in Portland.
