Steve joined Old Port Advisors in 2009 as a Vice President and Fiduciary Consultant specializing in working with complex retirement plans. He is uniquely qualified as his 30-plus years of experience as a fiduciary on the trustee side of the retirement plan industry have included all aspects of working with multiple types of plans, platforms, and company structures and sizes.
In addition to designing and consulting on 401(k), 403(b), profit sharing and defined benefit plans, Steve managed recordkeeping groups for TPA’s, ran a mutual fund complex for a large bank, and developed successfully field-tested investment analytics. Steve manages the Old Port Advisors Independent Investment Fiduciary process and is a part of the senior management team.
Steve is active in the community and currently serves on the board of the Maine Employee Benefits Council. He also served on the boards of the MS Society of Maine, the Maine Cancer Foundation, Day One and Lift360.
Steve is a frequent speaker and panelist on a variety of topics related to fiduciary investment advice. In his spare time, Steve is a tennis coach for the Scarborough High School girls team. He earned his bachelor’s of art degree from Bates College in 1984. Steve lives in Scarborough with his wife Terri.
